Thx for any help in advace.

Hi,

I believe that I encounter a similar problem the last days.
I can't download anything, only upload.

This has been for at least 4 days now.
Please help!

FYI, I am using Ubuntu 8.04 and Transmission BT Client 1.06 (5136).
I have also opened the TCP incoming port 51413 in my modem router (no firewall active).
However when I go to the preferences I get "Port Closed".
In the logs though it says that the port got opened upon system startup.

Many Thanks for your help!
Akis

lafaki: Transmission 1.06 is very old and no longer supported. Anyway, if it just stopped working the last few days, it's probably the tracker.

The problem is that this started happenning with all files I try to download.
So it can't just be that the tracker isn't responding.

Anyway, I tried to use your advice and install a newer version.
I used the System/Add - Remove in xubuntu uninstalling and installing the Transmission BT Client. I unfortunately got exactly the same version 1.06.
Any ideas how to get the latest version?

What is it btw?

If it happened recently, it would be a system/configuration problem.

I'm not too familiar with Linux, but perhaps you can find what you need at http://www.transmissionbt.com/download.php?
