Where did the nightlies go?
Where did the nightlies go?
http://transmission.xpjets.com/
I looked at the above link to get the latest nightly and it has nothing later than r9009. The page mentions nightlies have been discontinued at that page because of changeset 9010. I read the changeset and it not apparent to me what this all means.
Where can I get latest nightly for OS X?
Thanks

Re: Where did the nightlies go?
hi,
but not anymore..
I don't have near future plans to install 10.6 to my iMac (10.4.11 is solid enough)
neither dont' I have near future plans to buy new mini as toy-box for 10.6
actually, you can build them yourself if you have Snow Leopard..
Xcode (3.2 or above) and svn command line tool (1.5.4 or above) are required
to let that script to do the job for you..
any questions?
good luck!

- changeset 9010 and above requires Xcode 3.2 to build
- Xcode 3.2 requires 10.6 to run
- ..and 10.6 requires Intel based mac
but not anymore..
at the first glance I have no idea..Where can I get latest nightly for OS X?

Thanks Pea! Built some r9034 candy on SL. Script works like a charm. Getting tracker responses again.

Re: Where did the nightlies go?
sorry to hear that. i just ran the script exactly as pea posted it, on my 10.6 machine. if someone can change the script to make it produce a leopard-compatible version i'll be happy to run it again, but i don't know how to do that (or if it's possible).Iw9WlOuY wrote:this does not work on 10.5hippy dave wrote:Transmission-1.74+Z-svn-r9040
Re: Where did the nightlies go?
that's because the xcode file has the 10.6 sdk as default.hippy dave wrote:sorry to hear that. i just ran the script exactly as pea posted it, on my 10.6 machine. if someone can change the script to make it produce a leopard-compatible version i'll be happy to run it again, but i don't know how to do that (or if it's possible).Iw9WlOuY wrote:this does not work on 10.5hippy dave wrote:Transmission-1.74+Z-svn-r9040
the problem is i wasn't able to build a current checkout with anything else but the 10.6 sdk which would restrict all nightlies to 10.6 for the moment.
i'm not against upgrades but dumping 10.5 support a few days after 10.6 came out seems inexplicable and i hope it won't be for long.

Re: Where did the nightlies go?
The current trunk now requires 10.6 to build, but will run on 10.5 (as or 9055). The nightlies are currently built on a PPC machine, which is why they haven't been updated in a while. We're looking into alternatives.

Re: Where did the nightlies go?
hi,
if somebody is interested about handling the building script
then I'm glad to give that script to him/her...
(actually that is the non-stripped version of script I posted above)
system requirements:
* Intel mac with 10.6
* Xcode 3.2 (or above)
* svn command line tool (v1.5.4 or above)
* 24/7 internet connection to send precompiled builds to xpjets
if anybody is interested,
please contact me privately..
basic understanding of unix shell programming is helpful of course
TriOx? hippy dave? anybody else?
