Loss of internet connection

Post by Pete99 »

I'm downloading a smaller file this time, 1.87 GB, and it has run overnight okay with no interrupts to download due to loss of internet line. I noticed I'd forgotten to run Lighthouse scripts to keep the port open so I started it up this morning with Transmission still running. Within two minutes I'd lost internet connection. It may just be coincident, but it seems unlikely. I paused, verified local data, and turned lighthouse off again. I had a quick look to see what I could find in the logs around this time-stamp:

Don't know if any of that is useful, but you can see Lighthouse produces a series of nil string arguments, and then en0 link down, so I'd guess the two things are related. Anyway, I've turned lighthouse off again and checked port is still open, and signed back on to continue download okay. I'll see if anything else pops up, but I'm quite pleased to have managed an overnight run without losing internet connection - I've not managed that before.

Cheers
