"Session transfer" shows ridiculous amount.

Post by alejito »

I read up that this was a bug supposedly fixed in 1.40, but I've been having it a lot lately and it REALLY happened today.

Opened Transmission, added a torrent, and left it on while I went to dinner with my family.

The actual torrent entry shows: 498.0 MB, uploaded 330.5 MB (Ratio: 0.66)

I have the top counter set to "Session Transfer", and it says: DL: 859.3 MB UL: 382.9 MB

So, supposedly, I downloaded an extra 360 MB, and uploaded an extra 50 MB ???

I am using Mac OS X 10.6.1 and Transmission 1.75 (9112)

Anyone else? Any progress on this? I am currently on nightly 9241 (fifth nightly I have downloaded) and I still have this problem.

A current torrent hasn't finished yet but it's 71.3 MB. I'm 88% done and the top bar shows 98 MB downloaded and climbing. The torrent listing shows the (real) amount of 62ish MB.

Still an issue on 1.76. I downloaded two torrents just now: 83.6 MB and 160.9 MB. This combines for 244.5 MB, and yet my "session transfer" amount shows as 291.6 MB. I'm sorry that I can't paste a crash log or anything, it's just an odd bug.

IMHO the libtransmission requests the identical data from peers which then are rejected. Reduction max-peers-global to 10-15 allows to bypass this problem.

I'll give it a shot, but I don't really think I should have to set such a low limit just to get accurate performance from the program. Surely other people are having this issue??
