Web interface an Safari 4.0.4

Hi all,
I installed the transmission-daemon on a linux box (ubuntu 9.04) and I want to remotely control the connections using the web interface, so, I'm able to connect to the server using Safari 4 on my Mac, but unfortunately the active buttons (open, filter, inspector) don't react to the click on them.
I tested the WI with firefox and it seems to work.
My question is: did I forgot something in order to make the WI working with Safari on OSX (and on iPhone also) or it is a known (and still not fixed) bug?
P.S. Obviously I also tried to disable the pop-up blocking function.
