Checking existing data?

When I opened Transmission, my transfer was starting up but it got stuck checking existing data. (see attachment)
Any way to get rid of this?

Update, the bar is still yellow but it now says 100% instead of 98.26%.

never mind, my impatience got he better of me. The download has resumed.

I assume this was a big transfer? HDD IO is probably the biggest bottleneck in computing.
