Web UI no longer adds torrents

I'm running Transmission on an ubuntu 9.10 headless server and when I add a .torrent file that I have stored locally on my machine it will no longer queue it to be downloaded. All my other torrents are seeding fine and are connectable, I just can't add any new ones. Where can I look for the log files do help diagnose the problem?
