Can anyone give me an easy way to update to 1.90(on Ubuntu 9.04) through Synaptics? I'm horrible at tarz, and getdeb is only going up to 1.75. So if anyone knows how to get Synaptics to show me 1.90 I would really appreciate knowing.

Thanks.

Does nobody know how to do this?

I got the 1.90 .deb, but when I go to install it I get the error:

Code: Select all

Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: transmission-cli (>= 1.90-0ubuntu1)
Anyone know how to get around this? When I input that error into Google I don't get much help.

The deb is probably built for a newer version of ubuntu, like 9.10 (karmic). If you wait a few days the new version of transmission for your release of ubuntu should appear in this ppa: https://edge.launchpad.net/~transmissionbt/+archive/ppa

It already appeared in the PPA. Thank you so much Transmission team! :)
