Thanks for the reply. I wouldn't normally download to an external hard drive but i'm going away for a bit and want to leave my computer to download. I have some quite large files to get through so if i leave my mac on i will run out of space. Does anyone know of a good torrent for downloading ...

i can't seem to get transmission to download to my external hard drive... it is either ridiculously slow or hangs... which torrent clients do u guys use when downloading to an external hard drive.
