Lot's of permission denied errors
I tried permissions repair, on both my external and local hard drive, but every torrent I seem to add either cannot get around permissions (permission denied errors), or will, at some point during the download, get knocked out by permission errors.

Re: External Drive download location
Do you have a location set for incomplete files in Transmission>Preferences>Transfers>Adding?
Ok, thanks. I changed it from desktop to the drive - but what if I try to download stuff when the drive isn't connected, like when I'm not at home - will that change the default spot for keeping ...

External Drive download location
Hi,
Whenever I choose a torrent and specify it to download data to my external drive, it always ignores my request and downloads to the hard drive, then I have to right click and move the data files to the External.

Re: Transmission takes forever to quit
I'm confused. What can I do to make it stop happening? Transmission always takes 3+ minutes to finally quit on my computer and always interrupts shutting down, etc.

Re: Moved a file during download
Ok, at some point during the night, the download unpaused (WTF) not for very long, but long enough that I'm worried, because a new file was created on the desktop.
I deleted the new file... is it still ok to use the first method described here?

Moved a file during download
I paused a download and moved a large file to an external drive. How can I tell transmission where the file has moved to and continue the download from there?
