Transmission

I'd nearly completed downloading a 8GB torrent when my macbook crashed. Now when I start transmission 'checking existing data' just does not move and I cannot resume my torrent. Never had this problem before when my mac has crashed.

Please tell me there is a fix? I've rebooted a dozen time, tried ...
