I’m downloading an uncompressed BT file for the first time. Transmission’s main window seems to be saying 100% of the torrent is available (no red bar visible):

Here’s the file list with the main .mt2s file:

Re: Transmission Gui for symbian s60v3
Okay, I finally got this to work, very pleased with it. Set a password for access, no problem.
My missing link was that I hadn't forwarded port 9091 from my desktop client to my router. Once I did that, no problem - set my dyndns as hostname, added the username and password form the Transmission ...

Re: Transmission Gui for symbian s60v3
I'm a bit of a novice here, can somebody please explain to me exactly which settings I need to complete for the host, username and password?
I have a dyndns address for my router and the machine is called 'imac' on the local network. No idea what user name/pword to use though - my user account on ...

Problem appears to be fixed in 1.40
It appears the bug has been fixed (and it's gone very quiet on this thread...) I've been using 1.40 since it was released and haven't had a singe crash in the last roughly two weeks. Anybody else see a marked improvement? And I've been running heavy duty DL too - up to 20 torrents, >200 peers ...

Thanks ciphex, that sounds like the most solid piece of diagnostics on this whole thread so far, great work.

Re: Transmission causes leopard slow death
Thanks for your work tempel. I've just pinged all the DMSs on both my machines and all of them are functional. Although networking does seem to have something to do with the problem - one of the first signs of the crash is that connectivity is interrupted for all internet applications on the machine ...

Re: Transmission causes leopard slow death
Just to add that on on top of Trans persistently falling over on my 2008 iMac, I'm getting exactly the same fatal error on my backup machine, a G4 iBook, so it's goodbye Transmission. Hope the devs are noticing this, clearly it's a software problem and independent of hardware platform.

Re: Transmission causes leopard slow death
Good news, after deleting all caches, prefs and torrents and starting with a fresh install of Transmission and a new torrent, I managed to successfully download a whole file, about 200Mb over 3 hours, with the peer numbers set to defaults (200/60). Will try and test it out a bit more rigorously over ...

Re: Transmission causes leopard slow death
Hi, I need to add my voice to those with this problem. I'm running a brand-new (2 weeks old) 20" imac and 10.5.5 (before that, 10.5.4). Until mid last week Transmission ran perfectly, but after I changed the default prefs for permitted number of connections (global) from 200 to 500 and the per ...
