Ok. After going back and looking up where I got the idea that the outgoing port selection was limited by the "peer-port-random" range, and then reading not just the incident you linked, but all the trailing comments in that thread, I see what you mean. And, I understand why you linked that thread ...

I've been downloading a few files using a specific tracker - and I have been seeding the same downloads to keep the sharing going. But that has been on my desktop machine - which isn't on 24/7, and which obviously I keep busy with other tasks - so I set up my small raspberry-pi server to run ...

Ok - first - I would think I'm about the last person who should be offering an answer - being as I am a brand new transmission user.
