A while ago, I think back in one of the 1.x.x versions, and prior to that, there was some behavior with the priority system that didn't really work like priority. Basically it would prioritize sections of a file up until around 99% or so, then it would turn around and prioritize everything else ...

I'm connecting to a good number of peers, nowhere near as many as I'd expect to with the torrent I have, but it's enough to get me moderate download speed, so I'm not disappointed.

The space may be there by the time it's needed though.
