If it's not the socket thing i'm kinda out of ideas - if you could PM me a link to your clutch install that i could get at i might be able to get a better idea.

Maybe a clean install would resolve things

I have a feeling it has to do with the fact I upgraded from Clutch with daemon to the one that controls Transmission. But I want to make sure I uninstall everything. Any additional files that are installed by either Clutch of Transmission under OSX? (other than preferences)

It Worked!

Unistalling everything with AppZapper and re-downloading and installing Clutch and Transmission seemed to do the trick. For anybody else who might be having this issue...

Thanks for the AppZapper hint patchanka - it's been added to the FAQ.

No problem! Glad I can contribute, even if in a minute way... :D

I'm also having this problem.

I first installed Transmission, I loved it and all was fine. Then I found out about Clutch, and installed it. It worked from the start, but no torrents are shown. Not in Safari, not in iPhone's Safari, and in my network Vista PC, using Firefox, gives me an error shown in this picture.

I tried AppZapping both applications and installing them again. No changes.

Exact same thing here - Transmission works perfectly as does Clutch in that I can always access it, but it never has any torrents. And, on Firefox, as in DoS' example, it gives an error message identical to the one he posted.

I've tried a number of the suggestions in this thread with no luck yet. Any ideas would be really appreciated, I'm looking forward to trying this.

I get the same thing - no results being shown. Safari, Firefox - no difference.

Perhaps a debug version is in order, so we can provide some useful feedback?

this is solved in the svn. it's a problem that happens when the dl directory doesn't exist and possibility some other odd folders. Try setting the folder to "/".

forgive me if this is a stupid question but i'm not sure i understand. my download directory - as it's set in transmission - does exist, it's the standard ~/downloads folder. is there a separate place to define this in clutch? thanks for the help.

A ha! there is a separate place to define it in clutch - and i did exactly as you suggested - set it from ~/downloads to / and now it works! but is this going to change the location that my downloads actually go to or is this just a workaround for a bug? thank you!

ya it'll change where you dl to. try changing it back to ~/Downloads via clutch and see if it still works. Or try using the svn.

Hi,

I'm having the problem listed here on an Apple TV install. I'd like to try AppZapper before I bother everybody looking for other plans of attack, but I'm not sure how I would even do that on the ATV. Any tips?

OR

I'd try changing the download folder in Clutch, but I can't even get the preferences pane to come up! No luck in Firefox or Safari. Ideas?

Thanks a million,
Bob
