I'm running Transmission on a Popcorn Hour A-110. Currently 1.41b2, but playing with 1.5 (some crashing issues there still).
One thing I'd like to be able to do is seed some torrents... but not from the default download directory, but from the final resting place of the files. I'm struggling to find a method.
I tried shutting down transmission and editing the "resume" files manually, changing the directory noted there... but this seemed to fail (it just resumed from the default download directory).
I see mention of a "move data file" option (http://forum.transmissionbt.com/viewtop ... ile#p33143), but I don't see this mentioned in the man pages for transmission-remote or the transmission cli (http://trac.transmissionbt.com/wiki/man).
The only interfaces available on the Popcorn Hour are the clutch web interface and command-line... is there any way to do this using only these interfaces?
thank you

Re: Changing directory for downloaded torrents
bump
starting to use ubuntu more and more now. would like to seed all the data i've accumulated in windows with utorrent. in some cases, in utorrent, i've changed the default download directory. i try to specify this directory when adding the torrent in transmission, but it doesn't find my local data.
