Hi,
I've experienced this issue for quite some time. I think even with the 1.4x series. Currently running 1.51 on 64bit Fedora 10. I created my own rpm, no patches.
When transmission is started from the browser, be cause I downloaded a torrent. Having clicked "+ Add" (the check box for "Start when added" is checked) the torrent doesn't get (almost) any peers. Sometimes it shows it's trying to connect to one peer, but not more. As there is no "get more peers from tracker" button, I have to pause and start the torrent to get the download going. After which I _immediately_ get lots of peers and proper download speed. I tried waiting for several minutes for transmission to get more peers automatically, but it wouldn't get any. A manual pause/start always fixes the issue immediately.
This doesn't happen, when Transmission is already running and I add a new torrent using the same method. It looks as if the step of getting peers is skipped when transmission has been started with a torrent file.
Has anybody else seen something similar to this?
Regards
download does not start properly
Re: download does not start properly
I have the same problem transmission 1.42
Re: download does not start properly
Thanks for the confirm.
I tried the latest nightly build now (svn 8053) and it looks as if it works fine with this release. Also, the startup time looks to have increased considerably, though that may be why the bug is fixed now.

blacc: 1.42 is old and not supported here.

Well I cheered to early. I guess the issue does not always show itself. The definitely issue is still there. I'll soon try another nightly/svn and try to create a repeatable test case.
