For some reason my time capsule has randomly stopped working over and over again. The connection to the internet dies, and you cant even connect to the time capsule. When you try it says the connection timed out. Unplugging and plugging back in both the router and modem solves this problem temporarily. I am using AT&T PPoE DSL. Sometimes it continues to work for hours, sometimes 5 minutes.
After a long time of trying to figure out why its happening, I discovered that it only happens when Transmission is open. When my I wake up my computer and transmission is on, or when I open transmission, or sometimes after transmission has been on for a while, the router stops working again. When transmission is closed the problem goes away.
I don't want to switch to another torrent program because they all are crap compared to transmission. Anyone got any idea how I can fix this?

Did you try decreasing the number of connections in the Peers tab of preferences?

No I haven't. How could I determine what an appropriate number of connections should be?

Try 100 (default is 200).
Re: Transmission stopping airport connection
I tried lowering the number of connections, and it seemed to work at first, but now it is doing the same thing.
I have also tried using a different torrent program and it does the same thing. I can't figure it out.

Problem solved. It was the most recent update to the time capsules firmware.
I reverted to the old software and it works fine.
