Hiz,
Got something similar to "leopard slow death", but not the exact so started a new topic.
When downloading with high speed (400-600K) transmission hangs and after a while the whole macos stops responding.
First sign is the freeze of the transmission gui, and losing internet connectivity in all applications. This time i could force quit transmission but icon stays in dock, still no internet (i forgot to try any local traffic), other programs looks like working, but macos can't be shut down just by power button. But managed to get a report log: http://pastebin.com/m2f783f29
If i don't force quit transmission early enogh, every application become unresponding, but no beach ball, instead normal pointer, but can't click anything (it moves though).
I hope this helps.

Re: r8055 hangs
Do you have vmware fusion installed too?
Or what could be this vmnet stuff?

Re: r8055 hangs
Yes, I have vmware fusion, installed, but it was not running when Transmission was.
Re: r8055 hangs
Yes, but VMWare's networking software is running even when the app isn't. D'oh!mofle wrote:Yes, I have vmware fusion, installed, but it was not running when Transmission was.
Shoot! I hadn't thought of this—I installed the VMWare demo about a year ago and forgot to uninstall it!
Re: r8055 hangs
Neither did i have fusion running, but it looks we all have it installed.
I still can't think, why would transmission send stuff to virtual vmware network adapter.
