Post by ksnow42 »

i have a feelin people might not be open to this one... but here it goes...

is it possible to add a quicklook feature to the finder so its possible to see whats inside a torrent? something that jus shows all the files and how big they are, and maybe what tracker they're on...

That is not something Transmission can do, please send this idea to apple. Because Transmission did not invent .torrent documents

It would be great but I don't think it's high priority. Anyway, there's an old ticket about this: http://trac.transmissionbt.com/ticket/481

Actually, this is possible. QuickLook supports plugins for filetypes not natively supported by QuickLook. I know a good one was written for zip files.

It shouldn't be that hard - the QL plugin would just need to parse the torrent file to identify what files are in it, then present that info in the appropriate format for QL, this is in fact very much within the realms of a torrent team.
