Problems with uploading

Post by mhr2002 »

This might be a dumb question, but every time it seems someone is trying to upload from me, the file just either pauses or says "Error: No such file or directory" and prevents the person from downloading from me. I just started using Transmission, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

you probably moved, renamed or delete some files. Place (if possible) those back and then click on verify data (under tranfers)

whenever i click on verify local data, it just starts re-downloading the torrent from someone else.

what do you mean redownloading the torrent? you mean that I starts downloading the files again? That means the files are not in the directory where Transmission thinks they are.

Go to the inspector window (of that torrent you want to upload) and go to the first tab. Under location is where Transmission expects it to be. Put the files there. and click on verify data
