transmission-remote-dotnet 3.7 released

Post by ajf88 »

For those who control their transmission-daemon from Windows, I've finally got round to making a new release of my transmisson-daemon client which makes almost full use of the nice new RPC features in 1.60.

First of all many thanks to the other developers for the excellent client, and also many thanks to all the users that have contributed to this application. French, German, Danish, Hungarian, Chinese and Polish translations are included thanks to the users credited in the readme. Here's the new features I can remember :)

* samba integration (button to open torrent if you've shared your download dir)
* putty integration
* alternate speed limits
* port test feature
* enable and update blocklist
* a bunch of languages
* torrent priorities and seed limit ratios
* pieces graph

You'll need the .NET framework 2.0 or later installed. Here's the project site and obligatory screenshot... Enjoy!

Mucho thanks to you as well. I noticed Jaunty updated Transmission to 1.60 today and I grabbed your updated 3.7 windows client.

It works great. Again, many thanks.

PS. Devs, roll this in officially =)

Will the new features like updating the blocklist work with 1.51, or do you need to have 1.60?

Yeah, you'll need the 1.60 beta. I've not really had any problems though, it seems pretty solid.

This is a great client, I have a request though, the margins/frames are unusual widths (maybe it's because of my resolution) so I have to resize them each time I open up the GUI. I notice when I restart the GUI the widths default back as before. Could this be changed so the user's preference is saved? :-)

Today after updating Transmission in Ubuntu 9.04 (via repos) I get an error with the remote client.

Code: Select all

The remote server returned an error: (409) Conflict.

exiztone: If I understand right, there's been support for this for a long time. I just tried resizing the window size and moving the splitter, closing the app, and opening it with no issues (everything was remembered). Try closing it yourself instead of when you shutdown Windows.

quietas: I just released 3.8 which supports X-Transmission-Session-Id.

wow, really nice app!

since the web interface in 1.60 doesn't want to worka and this is working flawless... I'm gonna keep using it :)
