it's happening for quite some time now. while i'm downloading transmission is reading all the time. i don't know what but it's slowing down my drive and system.
i'm always using nightlies and i'm running 10.5.7 intel.
also tried a fresh 10.5.7 inst. so no old crap is left for sure -> but still the same.

It's probably writing to and reading from the drive as it should. I use a separate hard drive for my torrents. Having an application constantly accessing the OS drive is asking for trouble in terms of performance.
