Wired or wireless connection?

I am currently getting wireless internet from my wireless g router. could I get better speed if I connected directly to the router? Also, I'd like to get a wireless n router, because they are supposedly faster, can anyone attest to this? About how much faster (ballpark)? It seems like my DL speed is usually between 150K - 200K right now.

Probably the easiest way to find out would be trying for yourself. You would also need to check if your ports are opened to get the max of your connection.

It says my port is 51413 and it's closed! I went to canyouseeme.org and it kept timing out. What should I do?

Ok I got the port open and it looks like my download speeds are staying around 300K - 400K! Thanks Ryoujin! Now I just need that wireless N router.....
