Large amounts of disk space taken up

Whenever (always) I select parts of a multi part torrent Transmission tries to D/L unwanted parts (files) of that torrent. When it does this it allocates the Hard Drive space size corresponding to the unwanted files. This
"eats up' my hard drive space. Are you going to fix this ? Please do. Thank You, ricardo000.

There's a trac ticket for this. Torrents are broken up in pieces and sometimes those pieces overlap multiple files. Those pieces are required in order to assure that the information you have received from peers is correct.
