Hi,
I have been using Transmission for as long as I have had a Mac and it always served me well; until now anyway.
First, the platform details:
Transmission: 1.75 (9112)
OS: Snow Leopard 10.6.1
Machine: MacBook White
Problem:
In the management preference dialog I have set the application to automatically stop seeding at a ratio of 1.01. This is because I am on a very weird plan where if I upload more than I download my account will be cancelled (strange but true). What I am finding is that this ratio is sometimes being completely ignored. Basically, if I add a torrent it will download until ratio 1.01 as expected and then move to a status of "Paused". The problem seems to be that when I have a bunch of torrents in my list and the latest batch all finish, one or more random old torrents will reactivate and then seed forever. Since my upload channel is pretty fast I have seen 4-5 gb upload on 175mb torrents before I caught the problem!
I checked the open bug reports and nothing seemed to match my issue. Has anyone got any workarounds beyond making sure that all old torrents are deleted from the list as soon as they finish? I like to leave the torrents in the list until I clean them up.
