Hiding Transmission Completely

I'm currently in a hotel, and will be for another month, and had my internet disabled when they caught Bit Torrent traffic. I called them and they turned it back on, but I can imagine getting caught again might cause a permanent block. I just bought this Macbook, my first Mac, last week, so I have no idea how to user either the program or OS. Is there a way to completely hide Transmission from the watchful eyes of my hotel's ISP? Please dumb it down as much as possible, Transmission and Mac is a totally new thing to me (I'm used to uTorrent and Vista).
