FIXED: Right-click menu on Firefox (Mac)

Post by BarryCent »

Hi,

I'm sorry if this is better suited in the Mac forum, but I figured here is most appropriate as it is referring to the WebUI (regardless of OS).

I have found that when accessing the WebUI on Transmission running on my server from Firefox on my MacBook Pro, I am unable to right click on my torrents in the torrent list to Pause, trash data, etc.

In Safari (which I prefer not to use) I can right click fine and administer my torrents as usual, but not in Firefox. In Ubuntu on my MBP, the only way I can get the right-click menu is to hold down the Command button when clicking on the torrent (I have of course tried this back in OS X Firefox, but it doesn't help there.)

My take on it is the interpretation of the right-click signal from the MBP track pad isn't being correctly associated to a right-click in the WebUI.

Is there any one who can look into this? Or am I better to file a bug on Trac?

Sorry to be a pain, but this is a bit of a pain! :-(

Thanks,

Joe

I had the same problem with firefox on my MB the problems started with updating to snow leopard. i couldn't figure out the problem, nothing helped delete all firefox related files from the system and so on. two days ago i dicided to reinstall the whole system because more and more problems appered on the system since the snow leopard update. the fresh installation fixed all my problems but i also want to know why my firefox problems couldn't be fixed be a reinstallation of the firefox-app. so if someone can answer BerryCent's question i am also interessted.

Hi,

I meant to follow this up earlier. I found the culprit who is responsible for my issue. I had an add-on installed in my FireFox called "FoxTabs". For some reason when this add-on is active, one is unable to to right click on a torrent through the web UI on a Transmission server. Disabling this add-on, or just uninstalling the add-on fixes the problem. To me, it's not too much of a loss, I hardly used FoxTabs, but it would have been nice to have it, but anyways....

No too sure if this issue is the same as the previous poster's though, as mine wasn't so embedded in the system, besides I've had no problems since my upgrade to Snow Leopard. Though it would be interesting to hear if you had FoxTabs installed BELzEBUB? If so have you reinstalled FoxTabs since you reinstalled Mac OS X?

Yes i had FoxTabs installed before reinstalling OS X. Since that I use Firefox Showcase (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/1810) to get an overview of my tabs.
