1.82 - transfer stops (LOCKED: duplicate thread)

I have the same problem. Furthermore it also happened every time I tried the Betas. I am sitting behind witopia but people still find me and upload at 20K.

Well thanks for reporting that during the beta period. Because of your great helping in letting us know of this issue, we were able to resolve it before releasing 1.80 final.

Same problem here. I had never had problems with transfer speed through version 1.77. As of 1.80,1.81, and 1.82. Transmission has become unusable. It starts with a small transfer rate and then stalls out. I installed Vuze for the first time for testing and it runs at the speeds I was used to Transmission running at the same time I am running Transmission, which is still stalled out. I love the simplicity and potency of your app. Hopefully this is ironed out in future releases. Thanks

Frustrated much? I actually did ask in your chat room and was told it was my setup. So I did what worked and went back to 1.77 and figured you'd work it out. Apparently I was wrong.

And thanks for jumping down my throat, way to welcome an ex utorrent user.

Fair enough. I guess I've had one too many users tell me that they didn't report it during the beta period because they assumed it would be fixed before release.

I just updated my transmission to 1.82 and instantly everything stopped after a quick download check
I have been using transmission with out any problems for a while now
mac pro 2x2.66 ghz dual core intel xeon
not sure what to do and am stumped
and would like to install the old version

I rolled back to 1.77 and all is back to normal. There is definitely something up with 1.82.

Now I'm the green one. How do we bring the 1.77.tar.xz or 1.77.tar.bz2 back to the point where it's .app? I used "The Unarchiver" but it just expands it to a folder. Thanks much

I wasn't experiencing any issues up until I recently did the 1.8 update, then 1.81 right after that, then almost immediately after that manually downloaded 1.82. Just happened today. Same as everyone else, works fine, then stops, then works fine again. The betas actually seemed to all work fine. Went back to 1.76 and everything is peachy again. Thought it might have been Little Snitch, but that wasn't it. Wasn't the firewalls either, h/w or s/w. Said port was open.

802.11g (my n network is flaky) Airport on my 3.2GHz Octo-core Mac Pro with 16gb RAM BTW, w/ plenty of room left on my 1TB hdd.

Same problem here.

After upgrading to 1.82, the DL and UL both stopped.
Some minutes later, the port was reported as "closed" (even with "automatic map port" activated).

I went to TimeMachine and reinstalled 1.76, and everything was back on track like a charm.

MacOS 10.6.2 / iMac 3,06 GhZ 24" / 2GB RAM

Problem Solved!

Upgraded to 1.80 - crashing
Upgraded to 1.81 - 1.82 - my torrents dropping to 0 always

Downgraded to 1.76 - everything works great!

I dont know what is happening with those 1.8x - anyway if it helps to solve the problem running on Snow Leopard.
