Transmission - Web Interface - Accessibility

Post by atoxx@web.de »

Hi
I like the Web Interface to check the Progress on my iPhone but there is something more:
Due i am visually impaired i need the Pinch&Zoom Gesture to be able to read anything but the current Web Server prevents this, i know this is just 1 line of code to change this, the Meat Datea Tag of the Page needs to include a enable User Scale and Max Scale 10.0, it is quite easy to do and would make like so much easier for ppl like me, so i suggest this Feature ifor the next Version, hope you can help me, tried to look inside the App and to find the HTML FIle to change this manually but had no luck, so plz help ^^

thx in advance

Zoom works fine on Firefox, it must be a problem with... Safari? or whatever the iPhone is using.

The problem is that they have made a mobile interface for iPhone so the formating correctly fits the iPhone screen. This is really not a problem so much as the design that causes the page not to zoom and look more like an app.

If you have an iPhone 3GS, you can enable Zoom in accessibly settings and it will allow you to do a special 3 finger zoom in ANY app including safari that does work.

I use this Setting already, and yes you are maybe right with the Layouting thing, but for Mobile Safari you can turn on layouting tofit the iPjone Screen as well as allow Pinch&Zoom , so you can setup the layout to fit the device screen and turn on the Zoom as well on, there is no problem tith it, Google turns this also off on all their Pages ang this sucks as well, so you maybe have a Page looking like an App but ppl like me cannot use it, and the Zoom Setting has its own problems like you can see only a part of the screen but all the Navigation and all the other stuff is gone from your screen, try it out by yourself to see how it feels like, it is good to have but is not so usable like it should be or like it is with Pinch&Zoom...
