Indeed it's 200KB/s. My point is pretty much that I'm seeing these problems even though I'm *way* below the theoretical bandwidth limits of my connection. In Azureus I haven't limited my downstream at all and the upstream at 60KB/s because I can saturate the upstream quite easily but then I can't do pretty much anything else and using ssh is out of the question. The downstream is much harder to max out. Once or twice have I seen it reach 1.8MB/s but usually it stays below 1MB/s for most torrents.

The official ISP specs for the connection are 16Mbit down and 1Mbit up. This is what the interface of the router says:

Modus: G.992.5 (ADSL2+)
Download: 17765 Kbps.
Upload: 1149 Kbps.

lol nice connection, also no wonder it's hard to get 10 times more down/up stream ratio. Especially for relatively high values.

Any way after this little discourse from the main topic I have to say that cannot think of anything more than presented. It would be nice to have someone brighter to shed some light on those ideas and tell if they make any sense.
Well themonster2000 could make a custom build of Transmission and tell if it behaves better, though I highly doubt it, since his problem is related rather to download (though might be of the same nature) and i think that the value to change does not influence it at all.

I am afraid I don't understand you, Sir. You have exactly quoted this post: http://forum.transmissionbt.com/viewtop ... t=0#p44599 .
Did something got cut out or you want me to restate my answer ? or what is the point of your question ?

He's a spammer. Either a human or a bot posting BitTorrent-related noise to mask the advertisement he put in his signature.... deleted.

Yeah well, didn't look like a human. I wasn't aware of such thing, didn't see his sig either. Next time I will just report a post like that.
