Blocklist bad peers decreases after update, random

Post by Ryoujin »

I've been experiencing this issue for a while (a couple of weeks ago). Right now I'm using r10352, and sometimes when I update the blocklist the total known bad peers number drops from 224,282 to 198,181 (-26,101).

Afterwards, if I check Transmission's error log, this is what shows up a bunch of IPs show up (which is strange considering that everything is paused). I tried to copy it and Transmission crashed:

http://transmission.pastebin.com/U7bBQ574

Tried to reproduce to get the log but, as mentioned, since it happens randomly I couldn't make it happen again (at least for now). This is what it said (meh, nothing useful)

Code: Select all

3/10/10 7:29:43 PM	com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[158]	([0x0-0x133133].org.m0k.transmission[3548]) Job appears to have crashed: Segmentation fault
3/10/10 7:29:44 PM	ReportCrash[3560]	Saved crash report for Transmission[3548] version 1.91+ (10352) to /Users/USER/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/Transmission_2010-03-10-192944_COMPUTER.crash
This gets fixed if you update again the list (until eventually you come by the bug again, at a later time when you try to update). No clue if this is related to Transmission or the ones that maintain the list, tho, reporting here just in case.

This appears to be a crash in the Mac Client. You should open a ticket for this to let livings take a look at it.
