Add dialog, "verify local data" button

The add dialog has a "verify local data" button. This sounds very useful, when I'm adding a torrent and think I already have the data, I can verify it while/before adding, to make sure it's so and I don't end up downloading data instead.

But it doesn't seem to do anything? Clicking "verify local data" doesn't seem to have any effect at all, I click the button, nothing happens.

Am I missing something?

If the data doesn't already exist in the current location, it won't do anything.
