I'm a big fan of opening/closing ports only as needed.
It would be nice if an uPnP option was added to the Web GUI settings.

Do you mean something that indicates whether the port is open or not in the Web GUI?
Because when you use the settings.json file you can set UPNP via port-forwarding-enabled, as far as I know...

I probably should have posted this request in the Mac Requests. Specifically on the Mac GUI for enabling the web GUI, it'd be nice if you could enable UPNP so that when you start up Transmission it will open the needed port on your router.
