v1.92 Daemon Crash on torrent completion

Post by dheerajjotwani »

running v1.92 daemon with optware on playonHd media player.

settings have incomplete-dir enabled. this is causing dameon crash when the torrent completes. if i disable incomplete-dir, incomplete torrents show up in the torrent root dir and no crashes so far...

anything i am doing wrong?

The log is enabled by default, messages should be in /var/log/messages (or wherever syslog is configured to put them).

The verbosity of the log is by default 2, and is controlled inside settings.json with the option message-level (so you have to stop the daemon to change it). You may want to change it to 3 to get all the gory detail.

BTW transmission 1.92 doesn't work on my NAS, I went back to 1.91 (but at the same time another daemon I have running on a "big" server with Gentoo Linux hasn't failed). It wasn't crashing on my NAS, it just stopped doing anything, not even responding to transmission-remote or through the Web client.

If your optware setup handles gdb, that's the best way to go.
