i have decided to move my torrents that i'm seeding to a bigger internal drive. the problem is that after doing this, it no longer sees the files as complete and instead of them all seeding like they normally do, all these torrents now show 'downloading' with 0 data and are downloading files on top of the existing completed files with .part files! this is a total nightmare. i dont have the .torrent files for all of these to re-add 1 by 1 and plus if i do this i lose all the stats on each torrent. please help. there's like 100 of them. there has to be some way of telling transmission that these torrents are completed and seeding, not downloading and having them check exisintg data. isnt there a way to force it to check exisitng data? this is with v 1.9.2 on OSX 10.5.8.
thanks
move data file causing major glitch
Re: move data file causing major glitch
ok, i figured it out - the transfers menu - verify local data. i did this to all the torrents and now they register as complete and are seeding. whew... avoided a lot of stress there. this shouldnt happen though. there's something wrong with the move data file function b/c i previously was able to do this and not have to verify local data afterward.
Re: move data file causing major glitch
well in this case, if i doubleclicked torrent, went to first pane, at the bottom it shows "where" and displays file path - all these were set correctly and showed the path, but it thought that i was downloading these albums and not seeding them. this was the glitch. after using the verify local data option, then they showed they were completed and were seeding again.
