empty settings.json

Ok so everytime I edit my settings.json with vi, it ends up being empty!!!

I tried reinstalling and everything but no luck! I remove the entire folder through winscp, restart the daemon and everything returns but the settings remain empty!

I have no clue what to do. I had this problem before but i fixed it somehow. Dun remember how... Any ideas? can someone send me a settings.json file?

I'm running the latest transmission through ipkg on an hp mv2120

Start transmisison, let it run for awhile and then quit transmission. Is settings.json still empty?
