[ANSWERED] Installing Transmission on Synology DS410

Hi,

Is there any step by step tutorial that could help me? I have just bought the Synology DiskStation DS410 and found this Transmission bittorrent client when looking for some better than the "stock" BT client installed on DS. Has anybody succeed with installing Transmission on DS410 or on similar Synology NAS?

I would be grateful for any kind of help. I am not familiar with linux-based systems, but I have been programming a lot when I was younger, so with a little help I should manage to get it all working, I hope

Hi,

You can find precompiled binaries for the Synology NAS family here:

These two are packaged as Synology package, known as spk, and can be controlled (start/stop) from the DSM web interface.
