I'm not sure if my issue is exactly the same as the one's described here. I am getting the "duplicate transfer" error when I try to add a torrent for a similar file but from a different tracker (for reseeding purposes). This only happens on a few torrents and has surfaced recently. Does anyone have any idea why this is and how to fix it?

I do apologise if the explanation is not clear. That's the best I can describe it with my limited knowledge. I will try to explain more upon prompting if needed.
Btw I'm running 2.0 on OSX 10.5.8

Yes. As you know T won't let you add duplicates.

I am getting the same error, but rebooting didn't help.

This behavior started right after I've updated Transmission to 2.02. So I add a new torrent and nothing's happening (really, not even an "add window"), I try to add it again and I get the error message that it already exists. Still no transfer is going on and nothing's on the list. And I know I have never ever downloaded this torrent before.

I then check the T's support folder and see that the torrent file has been copied there as well as the correspondent .resume file. I can trash then, I can trash them not - it won't work anyway.

So I guess it is definitely a bug.

I just experienced the same problem with Banana. I updtaed my T to the newest version and now I can't download anything because it says that the files are duplicates (which they're not).

After upgrading to 2.02 this error now appears on any new torrent I attempt to add. Filter is set to all and these were not torrents that I had previously downloaded.

Until this is corrected is it possible to download 2.01?

After upgrading to 2.02, I am experiencing a similar problem as the others. Interestingly, when viewing the web interface, the new torrents are visible. They initially are paused. You can resume from the web interface and the torrent runs normally. It is not visible in the app window.

Also, I had an active torrent downloading and attempted a reboot. After restarting Transmission, the previously active torrent was removed from both the app window and the web interface.

Tried the nightly build of 2.02+ (11026) seems to fix the error that prevents the adding of new torrent. I took the last stable build #3095. Link is below:

Thanks for the fix. Transmission still rocks as I don't have to pay to use it and I should not complain when it is free and I know it is not easy to roll out software applications.
