Something is downloading when all is paused

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help?
I have been using transmission for some time now and love it.
I just noted with the last version, all listed torrents are paused
however something is downloading, I have no other apps running
apart from the monitoring app and transmission as soon as I close
transmission internet activity stops, open it up again, all paused,
activity starts up again and stays for ages.

Transmission is probably trying to contact trackers, and/or DHT is announcing.
