I have searched the Wiki and forums and have not found an answer to my specific issue. Perhaps I missed something, though I don't think so.
I am using Transmission 2.03 and OS X 10.6.4.
I am trying to upload a new torrent to a private tracker. I have made sure that the 'Download to' location is the file (folder) I am attempting to upload. When I hit the 'add' button, I get this message: "The destination directory and root data directory have the same name. If you are attempting to use already existing data, the root data directory should be inside the destination directory."
I have no clue what a 'destination directory' or 'root data directory' are.
My folks always told me "The only stupid question is the one that doesn't get asked," so even though I am sure this is really elementary stuff to most, to me it's some language I do not speak.
So my question (obviously) is, how do I fix this so I will be able to upload my torrent?
Let me offer, in advance, a huge "thank you" to all who answer.

Re: Upload problem w/directories
x190,
Thank you very much for your quick and clear response.
I have done as you said. I selected the folder which encloses the folder I am trying to upload as the download location. When I hit the "Add" button the "progress bar" (for lack of a proper name) turns yellow, analyzes the files, then turns blue and begins leeching.
What have I done wrong?
And let me thank you again in advance for your kindness.

Re: Upload problem w/directories
Nothing had changed since the torrent was created. I had d/ded a new copy of the .torrent file from the tracker and opened it in Transmission. The same thing happened (i.e., it began leeching).
Then, and I have no idea why this would influence Transmission, someone else began leeching. Once I re-loaded the .torrent file into Transmission, it checked the data file and it began seeding! Whoopee!!
Thank you once again!
