Those added to the web ui are not moved to the group location. That's intentional - for now at least (I know, it sucks, but it has to be like this). Are you sure about those added to the app directly?

I will test it again to be sure.

question.... when filtering in the groups settings, when I select "the name begin with movie" its de name of the .torrent file?? for example, if with automator i add the movie prefix to the files trasmission will add it as part of my movie group?

I try that but its not working.. i have my files movie.moviename.torrent and transmission add the file, but it does not assign the file to any group..

it suppose to work that way, its a bug or i did not understood how the filter works?

It's the name of the actual torrent that appears in the app, not the .torrent file.

In that case its a great idea for a future feature...

yes I second the request.

At present the option to automatically assign a torrent to a group by matching criteria of name or comment is not working as desired.

As the other users I would expect that renaming the .torrent would tend to the expected result.
And developers should better explain that the "comment" match is about comments to what is inside the .torrent and not the .torrent itsel. For Mac users this is obviously confusing since on OSX any kind of file can be assigned a comment .torrent files too.

Hope to have explained clearly.

just thought i would chime in to confirm this issue is still current.

i am using the latest TransmissionBT (2.33) on OS X Lion and use transmisson-remote-gui (3.24) to add torrents.

torrents added using transmisson-remote-gui are automatically assigned the correct group but are saved to incorrect location.
torrents added by saving a torrent file to the watch folder are assigned the correct group and location.
