Transmission Problem!

Hello community.

I downloaded Transmission 1.71 for OS X.4.11,
and ran it for 5 days, smoothly.
Today, Transmission won't launch, instead,
Today, the software declares, this version cannot run
on this OS.

I downloaded 3 previous OSX.4 versions from OLD APPS website,
none of them will launch, they all declare the same statement as above.
How do I troubleshoot this quirky behaviour ?
Grovelling for help here !

The last version to run on 10.4 is version 1.54. Nothing later will run on 10.4.

When you say "OLD APPS website", what are you referring to?
