Hi.
I did some searching but could not find an answer to this:
Using 2.20 on OsX 10.6.6 on a 10 MB/s line I cannot get past 1,25 MB/s in download speed.
The machine is hardwired to a cable modem, port is ok and firewall open for 2.20.
The upload speed is set to 50 KB/s, setting it to unlimited does not alter anything.
I can reach 1,25 MB/s on a single file download, starting another file with the same known download speed the total down load speed will not exceed 1,25 MB/s.
Is there a built in cap on download speed somewhere? (Download speed in preferences is set to unlimited).
Thankful for any pointers here.
Ole

That seems about right.
If you have a 10Megabit connection, your top speed, in mb would be 10 / 8 = 1,25MegaBYTES per second.
If you have a 10Megabit connection, your top speed, in mb would be 10 / 8 = 1,25MegaBYTES per second.

Thank you for your reply.
I am aware of the bits to Byte ratio, however I was certain I had a 10 mega Byte and not bit line..
After double checking I found it was indeed bits and not Byte, embarrassing to say the least.
Again, thanx
