For some reason 2 days ago, my port decided to close on me. I have never has a problem before and nothing had been touched (my router or firewall). I did everything in the wiki section for this and nothing has worked. My Mac firewall is not blocking transmission, nor is my router. I have personally put in transmission on both so I could be double certain that nothing was blocking the ports, but this still has not worked. The log error say something about making sure my router supports UPnP and I definitely know it does since my Xbox and my PS3 connect with no problem to it.
I'm using a Belkin F6D4230-4v1
My Mac version is 10.5.8
I'm using Transmission version 2.20
My log is as follows:

Re: Port Closed
Make sure that UPnP is enabled on the router.
I'm not sure whether you're saying that your xbox can connect to the router, or that it can do port forwarding successfully on the router, which are not the same things. So I'm wondering if UPnP is not enabled on the router.
I don't have any firsthand experience with that model but some quick Googling turned up these instructions: http://www.fixya.com/support/t6134198-belkin_n

Re: Port Closed
I'm saying that since Xbox and PS3 only connect through a UPnP connection and they are able to connect through my router, I know that my UPnP is enabled. I have checked my router several times in the past few days and my UPnP is enabled. I downloaded another client like uTorrent to make sure and my ports are saying that they are open on uTorrent but not on Transmission, so I am thinking that this is just a Transmission bug. But I prefer Transmission and don't want to stop using it and am still trying to figure out how to make my ports open on Transmission and there does not seem to be any solution for it.
Re: Port Closed
Thanks for the clarification.
Transmission uses the miniupnpc library for its UPnP port forwarding. As a next step, I'd say it would be good to report that "failed with error 718" log upstream to the miniupnpc people at http://miniupnp.tuxfamily.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=5 to see what they think...

Re: Port Closed
FYi, same thing happened to me. Port was open, nothing changed on the router then all of a sudden the port closed.
Through a bit of trial and error I did this
I went into the router settings, disabled upnp, restarted the router, fired up transmission and port was (understandably) closed
I then re enabled upnp, restarted the router, opened transmission and port was now open !
No idea why this fixed it, but it did. Using the o2 wireless box iv, which I believei a thompson TG587nv2 and osx 10.5.8
