Hi,
I'm using Transmission on Ubuntu 10.11. I want to run transmission-daemon as a service so that any user can log in and access the same instance of Transmission (via the browser or Transmission remote GUI).
Is this possible, and how can I do it?

Re: How can I start transmission-daemon service before login
It's just a matter of telling Ubuntu to use their supplied init-script. Not sure exactly how Ubuntu does it but there should be a tool to configure the startup of services or daemons somewhere around the other general config-tools.

Found the answer. In Ubuntu you just need to install the transmission-daemon package and it will be set up automatically.
