Transmission unable to deal with many files or big files!

Hi, I'm a big big transmission fan. However one thing that has always annoyed me is how the client acts up when you have several big files that are rared up that you wanna download, transmission starts to lock / freeze up...and it goes like this on and off until u finally succeed to pause and remove the torrent. This is the same with files that are like 50 gig that you wanna download, i start to download at like 10 mb/s and then all of a sudden it drops all the speed to 100 and then 0kbs ...and then the client starts to freeze up ...and won't act normal. Can someone fix this please and this client would be complete and very very good, however its a shame it does this with big files and when there are a lot of rar'ed files that you are downloading...

I'm having this problem too. It's not a network thing because I have the "add window" open to appear before it actually starts.

A torrent containing a folder with many/large files opens the add window just fine, but clicking the arrow to reveal the files just causes Transmission to hang.

I also have the same problem, I have to set the maximum number of active downloads to 2 to avoid freezing. However, when downloading small files, I can download many at the same time without problems.

Yes i also have this problem but it's not from that huge of a file. Usually they are several 2-4GB files BR rips or the like. I noticed i start getting the spinning beach ball after about 3 of these files are downloading at the same time.
