Different colours in item list

I have come across a problem with continuing some files even though they are not finished downloading yet.
(Yes, I know about "checkmarking" the files on and off, to restart them.)

I have a multi-file torrent that has some files 100% complete.
These files have a dark colour to their file list's progress bar.

There are also some files that are not 100% complete (about 47-96%) that are also the same dark colour and they are not downloading, even though they are checked to download. It's as if Transmission thinks they are 100% complete.

There are also some files that are at a low percentage, but they are in a lighter colour and they are downloading.

What is the significance of the progress bar's colour?

How do I restart the files that don't want to download?

Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on with this torrent?

Here is a closer look at the colour difference that may explain what I see.

The 100% files have dark progress bars.
The 55% file is dark and won't download.
The ~15% files are light in colour and will download.

I've not seen this happen before, so I am curious as to what is going on.
