Password recovery for Transmission Remote GUI?

Hi,

Does any one know of a way of recovering the saved password in transmission remote GUI? I want to reinstall the operating system on my pc as it is in a bit of a mess, but I don't have a record of the password saved for the account it is used for and I can't obtain another one. If anyone could be of help I would be extremely grateful. Thanks

It would be nice if you specify which version of transmission you are using - WIN/LINUX/OSX?

Hi, thanks for the reply. Sorry, I should have specified. I am using Transmisson remote GUI Version 3.1 and am running Windows 7 Ultimate. Thanks

I only have WinXP so tested it and found where the password is. (not real password, but hashed of sorts, so make sure you copy the config file).

Yes, that has sorted the problem. Thank you so much for your help. That has resolved one major headache for me.
