I was opening a previously downloaded torrent file from a /tmp directory and slipped -- apparently selecting a file and a directory. Now, everytime a open a new torrent I get "invalid torrent file" errors referencing the file and directory. They're not referenced in the "torrents" or "resume" subdirectories of .config. Neither or they referenced in settings.json. Where else might the misinformation be stored? I've restarted transmission without fixing the problem -- so the misinformation is saved somewhere. Where?
addendum: I tried renaming the .config/transmission directory to start with a clean slate -- no luck. As far as I can tell, every time I try to open a new torrent, all the torrent files (previously loaded) in the /tmp directory try to open as well -- plus a few folders in the /tmp directory. I've tried restarting the computer -- without affecting the problem. And no, I don't have the "automatically add torrents" directory set.
addendum: built a fresh copy of transmission from svn source today, moved the .config/transmission directory out of the way, purged transmission-daemon -- and still had the same problem with non-existent torrents named for files and directories within the /tmmp directory.
